CADRC Cores



AC (Administrative Core) The Administrative Core provides the infrastructure for the CADRC and maintains organization between the institutions involved in the center.

BC (Biomarker Core) The Biomarker Core collects, stores, tracks, shares and analyzes bio-specimens to support research projects that study genetic markers and biomarkers in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders.

CC (Clinical Core) The Clinical Core is responsible for completing research study visits and managing patient-related matters at both UH and CCF.

DMSC (Data Management and Statistics Core) The Data Management and Statistics Core created and now maintains the secure database utilized for the CADRC. The DMSC also provides statistical support for the Center.

NIC (Neuroimaging Core)  The NIC acquires and analyzes imaging data from the Clinical Core sites.

NPC (Neuropathology Core) The Neuropathology Core coordinates the postmortem collection, storage, and distribution of fixed and frozen brain tissue from longitudinally characterized patients enrolled in the CADRC.

OREC (Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core) The Outreach, Recruitment, and Engagement Core focuses on community outreach and recruitment of a diverse study population for the CADRC.

REC (Research Education Component) The Research Education Component will develop a professional educational program to train new investigators in the field of dementia research.
