Dr. Shang-Ying Tsai Visits CADRC

May 16, 2023 CADRC scientists, Drs. Jagan Pillai and Martha Sajatovic met with Dr. Shang-Ying Tsai,  a visiting Professor from  the  Department of Psychiatry, School of Medicine, Taipei Medical University.

Dr. Tsai met with members of the CADRC to learn about our Cleveland-based programs and explore possible future research collaborations. He also visited University Hospitals of Cleveland Medical Center, Cleveland Clinic Foundation, and the Mellon Center with Dr. Pillai.

A key activity of the CADRC is to expand scientific collaborations that are relevant to Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (AD/ADRD).  International collaborations have the potential to shed insights on brain and physical health outcomes that may be affected by culture and geographic settings.  International collaborations also can grow our capacity to make our research workforce more diverse and add skills and expertise to the team of scientists working on better understanding the causes (and potential care approaches) that might reduce the burden of AD/ADRC.
