About LIFE Memory Cafe
The LIFE Memory Cafe is a dementia-friendly community program offered by LIFE: A Dementia Friendly Foundation, providing safe, uplifting, and engaging experiences for individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias—along with meaningful support for their caregivers.
Held regularly across multiple Northeast Ohio communities—including Wellington, Elyria, Amherst, Avon Lake, and North Ridgeville—the LIFE Memory Cafe offers full-day or half-day opportunities for socialization, creative expression, physical activity, intergenerational programs, art and music activities, and connection with others in a warm, judgment-free environment.
Caregivers benefit from on-site support, educational resources, peer connection, and practical tools focused on behavioral strategies and best practices in dementia care. These events are designed to foster dignity, purpose, and holistic well-being for both participants and families.
The program is rooted in LIFE’s belief that every individual has value, that dementia does not define a person, and that community support and compassion are essential in improving quality of life.
