CADRC Researchers Reverse Alzheimer’s in Animal Models
The Cleveland Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (CADRC) is accepting Letters of Intent (LOIs) for its Developmental Project Program, which supports innovative research in Alzheimer's disease (AD) and Alzheimer's disease-related dementias (ADRD). The program is designed to foster promising new research and support the development of emerging investigators while encouraging interdisciplinary collaboration.
One investigator will be selected to receive up to $80,000 in direct costs annually for two years, with the possibility of a third year of funding based on demonstrated progress. Priority will be given to projects focused on the rate of disease progression in AD and ADRD.
Who Should Apply?
Eligible applicants include:
- Postdoctoral fellows and junior faculty investigators conducting AD/ADRD research
- Senior investigators from outside the AD/ADRD field interested in applying their expertise to dementia research
- Researchers affiliated with CADRC institutions and regional academic or healthcare organizations throughout Northeast Ohio
The CADRC also encourages applicants to leverage resources available through the center, including data, biospecimens, and national research repositories such as the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) and the National Centralized Repository for Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias (NCRAD).
